PISA

Pisa is a wonderful tourist destination in the center of Tuscany, an open-air museum. Monuments, museums and imposing buildings of inestimable artistic value keep alive the memory of Pisa as a Maritime Republic that, for a long time, was the undisputed master of the Mediterranean.

Pisa immediately brings to mind the Leaning Tower, the symbol of the city. Together with the Cathedral and the Baptistery, the Tower of Pisa is part of a complex of works that Gabriele D'Annunzio renamed "Miracles", hence the name Piazza dei Miracoli which perfectly defines the place that hosts them.

The climate is mitigated by the proximity of the sea and is of the temperate Mediterranean type. The winters are not too cold and the heat in summer is less suffocating than in other cities in Tuscany. July and August are the hottest months, while the coldest is January. Rainfall is limited and concentrated in autumn and it is quite rare for it to snow in Pisa. Spring is the best season to visit Pisa on foot
