Tour description

Upon arrival at the port, our official guide will be waiting to begin the tour from the historical harbor area of the city, before continuing into the heart of Genoa.

You will walk through a labyrinth of typical Genoese alleys and squares, known as Caruggi. You’ll reach the commercial, economic, and financial heart of the city, Piazza De Ferrari, where you can take a photo in front of the iconic fountain. The tour continues past the Cathedral of San Lorenzo, the most important place of worship in Genoa, where you’ll admire the mix of architectural styles on its striking façade.

Your guide will then lead you along the famous Medieval Walls of Genoa, built in the 12th century, and towards the historic Stock Exchange building, the elegant Carlo Felice Opera House, the Ducal Palace, a symbol of Genoa’s rich maritime history, and the Church of Jesus.
Next, you’ll walk to Piazza Dante, where you’ll see the exterior of the House of Christopher Columbus, a reconstruction of the house where the explorer spent his childhood from the 18th century, and the Porta Soprana gate. You’ll also admire the Strada Nuova, now known as Via Garibaldi, a splendid Baroque avenue lined with palaces that have been declared UNESCO World Heritage Sites.

At the end of the tour, you will be taken back to the port of Genoa in time to comfortably complete boarding procedures.
